The principle of this equipment is that a long beam resting on a road surface at one end and  balanced at a point to give a ratio of 2:1 will magnify small deflections caused by loadings adjacent to the end of the beam in contact with the road. By using a stable platform adjacent to the other end of the beam, this small movement can be measured accurately. It is of light weight construction and can be separated into two parts for ease of transport. Supplied complete with dial gauge 0.01 x 25mm

The automatic compactor eliminates the laborious process of manual compaction and an even degree of compaction is achieved. The drive mechanism lifts the weight of 4.5 kg and drops it through a correct height of 457 mm. The rammer foot is removable, which facilitates preheating. A compaction pedestal with specimen holder is fixed to the base. An automatic blow counter enables the number of blows to be preset before each test and automatically stops the machine on completion. It comprises of an epicyclic type stainless steel paddle which is capable imparting rotating and revolving motions at two different speeds of approximately 62 or 125 rotations per minute, coupled with approximately 140 or 285 revolutions per minute. The mixer is provided with approximately 5 kg capacity Stainless Steel bowl. Heating jacket is provided below the bowl.

The machine is used to drill cores of Bitumen Pavements. The machine is provided with hand operated rapid screw feed through lever drive with built in ball bearing. The drill spindle is floating on a tapered roller bearings. Water swivel is totally enclosed and mounted on the drill spindle. The drill drive shaft is mounted on two ball bearings in the drill head. The drill is provided with water tank to deliver the water to the cutting operation. The drill is mounted on a sub base which is further mounted on a trolley. The trolley is mounted on scooter tyre wheels and leveling screws to facilitate easy shifting and setting. The machine is fitted with Diesel Engine.

The apparatus consists of a cast aluminium base with an iron stand on which moves aluminium arm. A 15cm dial is fixed on this arm and a brass rod slides through the lower portion of the arm. A needle with weight is fitted to this rod. The dial is graduated from0-400 in one tenth millimeter sub division. Supplied complete with adjustable needle holder, penetration needle, sample container, transfer dish and weights – 50gm & 100gm.
