Field Density Apparatus Core Cutter Method

Consolidation Test Apparatus
As per IS: 2720 Part XV. Single cell model. It comprises of a loading frame having capacity of 20 kg/cm² with a loading yoke and lever arm complete with counter balancing adjustments. A fixed ring consolidation cell for a 60mm dia. X 20mm thick specimen, complete with two porous stones, pressure pad, cutting ring and acrylic tube water reservoir with tubing and connectors is provided. A set of weights is provided to give a stress of 10 kg/cm² on a 60mm dia. Specimen. Supplied complete with dial gauge 0. 002 x 5mm travel.
Compaction Apparatus Universal Motorized
As per IS:2720 (Part VII & VIII). The machine is designed to compact specimens automatically and uniformly for Proctor and C.B.R. tests, eliminating the laborious hand compaction method. The rotation of the mould after each stroke and the lateral movement of the table (for C.B.R. mould only) ensures complete coverage of soil surface. The height of the compaction rammer can be quickly switched from 310 to 450mm or vice versa by hand lever. A hammer in two parts adjustable for 2.6 kg for light compaction and 4.89 kg for heavy compaction is supplied as a standard component of the unit. A graduated dial incorporating a micro switch, enables the number of blows to be pre-set before each test and automatically stops the machine on completion.
As per IS: 2720 ( Part XVI ), motorized. It consists of Bench Type Load frame 50 kN capacity, complete with Mild Steel mould 150mm dia x 175mm high, 2.6 & 4.89 kg mild steel rammer, 2.5 kg annular & slotted weight, Aluminium tripod, Penetration piston, Brass perforated plate with stem and lock nut, cutting collar and Circular spacer disc with detachable handle. Supplied with Proving Ring 10 kN capacity & Dial Gauge 0.01 x 25mm.

Extractor Frame Universal
Screw Jack Type, consists of adaptor plates and plunger plates for 38mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm diameter specimens.

Grain Size Analysis Apparatus Pipette Method

Proctor Needle Apparatus Spring Type
Consists of a body housing a spring, a plunger calibrated to read 0-40 kg x 1 kg and a handle. It has a long stem & a short stem, both graduated at 12.5mm intervals to indicate the depth of penetration and for use with needles of larger & smaller areas respectively. Rapid Moisture Meter
As per IS: 2720 (Part II) – 1973. The apparatus is supplied in polished wooden carrying case. The apparatus consists of a pressure vessel with clamp for sealing, rubber sealing gasket, pressure gauge in moisture content 0-25% or 0-50% on wet weight basis, a counter poised balance to weigh the sample, a scoop for measuring reagent, one cleaning brush, set of 4 steel balls and one bottle of reagent (500gm).

Unconfined Compression Test Apparatus
It consists of a load frame 50 kN capacity. The lower platen is moved up for applying load. The top cross head is adjustable and carries hexagonal adaptor for taking standard proving rings. A strain dial gauge bracket is provided and fitted to one of the pillars. The instruments is supplied with upper and lower platens, an adaptor for the proving ring and a cone seating.
